Invitation from the Convenor

On behalf of the organising committee I have great pleasure in inviting you to attend the Australasian Society for Bipolar Disorders (ASBD) Conference that is to be held in Brisbane, from 22-24 October 2009.

This will be the fourth meeting under the umbrella of the ASBD, which formally constituted in 2004 and is affiliated with the International Society of Bipolar Disorders.

Brisbane is the perfect location to host the 2009 ASBD conference as it has a longstanding tradition of mood disorders treatment. In recent years Bipolar Disorder has become the focus of intense research activity across all domains from basic neuroscience to clinical management.

This conference aims to bring together researchers and clinicians from the scientific community worldwide to highlight the latest developments that have enhanced our understanding of Bipolar Disorder and improved clinical outcome.
